You can’t get Blood out of a Stone, or so the saying goes. It was 2011 and David was chatting with his brother about the latest recording session at Swizzle studios and the reply to ‘how are things going?’ was, ‘like getting blood out of a stone.’ At this point it was funny but also as a name for a record label it felt apt. Blood out of Stone Records had a ring to it. Since then the creative journey has encompassed more than music and spread to video, photography, poetry, artistic installations and so the website was born.
Incorporating recordings of baritone electric guitar in remote locations with drones flying and microphones capturing the sounds and landscape portraits whilst on the road in a camper van, this grew to literary endeavours, web design and digital integration services, musical compositions, poetry and an outlet for creative urges.
